After July 2021, the 2.3.x release line no longer received quality updates or user guide updates. PHP 7.3 reached end of support in December 2021, and Adobe Commerce 2.3.x reached end of support in September 2022. We strongly recommend upgrading to Adobe Commerce 2.4.x to help maintain PCI compliance.

Due to the shutdown of Temando, the provider of the technology behind Magento Shipping, it is no longer possible to create a new Magento Shipping account. For detailed status information and recommendations for new shipping implementations in Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source, see the shipping solutions page.

A location is required for most interactions with Magento Shipping, with variety of uses ranging from where a shipment is sent from, where a dispatch needs to occur, or where a Click & Collect order is collected.

The Locations grid lists the available shipping locations and can include stores, warehouses, drop shippers, and company headquarters. Existing shipping locations can be edited or removed and new shipping locations added. The locations that you enter appear in a drop-down list for each Shipping Partner profile, to identify the locations where the carrier is available.

The Locations grid is hosted in the Magento Shipping Portal, but can be accessed after initial configuration in the Magento Admin.
